Meamya Christie

Over a decade ago I started with a simple question: what is wellness? What I discovered is that it refuses to be put in a box. Wellness means something different for every person I've asked, and it often depends on context. Sometimes it's stillness. Sometimes it's connection, movement, culture, or food. Sometimes it's simply needing space or support to grieve, or to move through a transition.

That exploration eventually became Motif Metrics, a research and platform design studio where I bring together field observation, product thinking, lived experience, and technology to study how people live, recover, care, discover, and travel.

Perspective

My perspective comes from moving between product leadership and lived experience. I have spent more than eight years leading digital products and decades participating in care, beginning at 17 when I helped care for my grandmother at the end of her life. Those experiences taught me to notice how systems are felt in everyday moments: what people carry, where continuity breaks, what support is missing, and where technology can meaningfully help.
